The San Francisco 49ers may be without Yetur Gross-Matos for at least four weeks because of a setback with his hamstring injury.

The 49ers travel to New York with a game plan that probably looks like the Atlanta game: run and run some more.

The 49ers selected Williams with the 11th overall pick of the NFL Draft back in April, hoping he would instantly bolster the team's pass rush. Instead, he has logged just one sack and two quarterback hits while managing a 52.8 pass-rushing grade at Pro Football Focus, which ranks 109th out of 119 qualifying edge rushers.

In 2022, the four-time Pro Bowler recorded 15.5 sacks with the New England Patriots. At 33 years old, Judon could provide a spark to the 49ers' struggling pass rush. San Francisco wouldn't be tied to him in the long term either. This offseason, Judon signed a one-year, $3 million deal with the Dolphins, making him a cheap and temporary option.

Ferrell and trade acquisition Keion White will be the new blood on the 49ers defensive line, moves that were made even more necessary with the 49ers’ placing defensive lineman Yetur Gross-Matos on injured reserve, meaning he will miss at least the next four games. Many teams, including the Rams, 49ers, Lions, Colts and Eagles, have called the Bengals on numerous players, including LB Logan Wilson, CB Cam Taylor-Britt and, of course, DE Trey Hendrickson. For now, some teams don’t believe Cincinnati has any real interest in moving its core pieces.
