From "Almost Famous" to "American Graffiti" and "Full House," Brian Wilson and the Beach Boys have soundtracked some of Hollywood's biggest titles.

It was really sad to hear that Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys died today. While we don't cover music here that often, the Beach Boys are a legendary band whose work has been used by lots of filmmakers to set the mood of a scene or just as part of an all-time great soundtrack.

Brian Wilson, the brilliant musician who codified the California teen lifestyle in a series of ’60s hits by his band the Beach Boys, has died. He was 82.
