The Patriots signed cornerback Carlton Davis to a three-year deal and drafted safety Craig Woodson out of Cal in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL Draft to help with the secondary.

Davis and Gonzalez should be one of the top cornerback duos next season. The Patriots also need a bounce-back campaign from both of their starting safeties — Kyle Dugger and Jabill Peppers.
