The title Pluribus is associated with “E Pluribus Unum," ("out of many, one"), which gains new meaning in the Apple TV series. The name of the show is also stylized as Plur1bus, with the number "one" in the actual title.

“Pluribus” is also the “X-Files” alumnus’ return to science fiction, a genre that adds an air of mystery to the already sky-high expectations that come with Gilligan’s CV.

In Pluribus, Seehorn is very much the star, present in most scenes, with much of the comedic and dramatic underpinnings resting on her shoulders.
