Novak Djokovic says he will return to the Australian Open next year if he is "fit, healthy and motivated" after retiring from his semi-final with injury.

Twenty-four-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic retired from his Australian Open semifinal match against Alexander Zverev on Friday afternoon, unable to continue due to a muscle tear in his left leg.

Novak Djokovic admitted there is a “chance” he has played at the Australian Open for the final time after retiring injured from his semi-final against Alexander Zverev but says he remains motivated to chase further titles.
