BANGKOK: One of the two Japanese who were taken to hospital after being seriously injured in a fire in Bangkok late last year died, officials of the Japanese Embassy in the Thai capital said Wednesday (Jan 1).

Three foreign tourists died in a fire that ripped through a hotel in central Bangkok on Sunday night. The blaze, at the Ember Hotel in the Thai capital’s historic Phra Nakhon district, also left seven others with injuries.
