Right-hander Ben Lively was placed on the 15-day injured list by the Cleveland Guardians on Tuesday due to a strained right flexor tendon

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Guardians starting pitcher Ben Lively will be examined by team doctors Tuesday after leaving Cleveland’s 5-0 win Monday against Milwaukee following just three innings and 45 pitches.

The Cleveland Guardians placed right-handed starter Ben Lively on the 15-day injured list on Tuesday because of a right flexor tendon strain. In a corresponding move, rookie right-handed reliever Zak Kent was recalled from Triple-A Columbus.
