The College Football Playoff committee released its first rankings for the 2025 season on Tuesday night. The committee ranked the Georgia Bulldogs at No. 5 and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets at No. 17. If the 12-team playoffs were to start today, the Bulldogs would make it, but the Yellow Jackets would just miss out.
The Yellow Jackets were thrashed by the Wolfpack, who gained 583 total yards and were the first team to score more than 29 points against Georgia Tech this season. Quarterback CJ Bailey was prolific, passing for 340 yards with two touchdowns.
