This stems from him showing up into the season overweight, thinking he could play his way into shape, but his body just can't handle that extra stress.

For the Mavericks, they enter Friday’s game with four players listed on their injury report, including star big man Anthony Davis. Dallas has listed Davis as doubtful for Friday’s contest due to a left calf strain that has caused him to miss the last three games for the Mavericks after he suffered the injury against the Indiana Pacers on October 29.
