NEW DELHI (Reuters) -Sunrisers Hyderabad head coach Daniel Vettori felt the slow pitches on their home ground did not suit their free-scoring batters after the side crashed out of the playoff race of this year's Indian Premier League.

Rain washed out Sunrisers Hyderabad’s slim chance of qualifying for the Indian Premier League playoffs on Monday. Captain Pat Cummins' three-wicket burst with the new ball limited Delhi Capitals to 133-7 before heavy rain and the wet outfield denied further play.

Hyderabad has hosted six games so far, and teams have crossed the 200-run mark in only four out of 11 innings in total, as compared to seven out of 12 times last year.
