NASCAR assessed an L1-level penalty to the No. 17 RFK Racing team on Wednesday following last weekend’s Cup Series race at Kansas Speedway.

Buescher's car was taken to NASCAR's R&D Center in Concord, North Carolina, following the race at Kansas. While that does not typically result in a penalty, NASCAR assessed the team with an L1-level penalty for a front bumper cover violation.

A lot happened this past weekend at Kansas Speedway, highlighted by a record-setting win for Kyle Larson during the Cup Series. Now, NASCAR has announced the penalties that have come out of the AdventHealth 400 in KC on Sunday.
