One of the Lorain officers who were ambushed on July 23 has died according to acting Lorain Police Chief Michael Failing. Officer Phillip Wagner, 35, was shot multiple times in the incident.
Lorain County Court of Common Pleas will be closed July 30 to allow local law enforcement, court staff and local counsel to attend the services for slain Lorain Police Department Officer Phillip
Wagner died Thursday after being shot in an ambush attack. Two other officers were wounded, with one suffering serious injuries.
