It has been reported that six states, including parts of New York, have been placed under a winter storm watch. Weather experts have predicted that it is possible the six states could receive up to 20 inches of snowfall.

Areas included in the winter storm watch include: Wayne, Northern Cayuga, Oswego, Jefferson, and Lewis Counties, as well as Wyoming, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, and Southern Erie counties. The watch is in effect from Wednesday afternoon through Sunday afternoon.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The National Weather Service issued a Lake Effect Snow Warning for parts of Western New York. The weather alert went into effect at 7 a.m. Wednesday and runs until 6 p.m. Sunday for Southern Erie, Wyoming, Chautauqua and Cattaraugus Counties.
