Lando Norris accepted the blame, but outspoken 1997 F1 world champion Jacques Villeneuve says Oscar Piastri is not entirely without fault for the bundle between the two McLarens in Canada.

McLaren has given a clear verdict on their drivers' ambitions after Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris farcically collided at the Canadian Grand Prix.

After briefly overtaking him with a divebomb at Turn 10, Piastri regained the position on the run down to the final chicane after maximising the slipstream and DRS from Mercedes rookie Kimi Antonelli ahead.
