David Beckham and Gary Neville are part of a new consortium to have taken ownership of English fourth-tier soccer club Salford City.The club was previously owned by Beckham, Neville and other former Manchester United teammates in its so-called “Class of ‘92” — Nicky Butt,

Beckham and Neville ultimately decided to join forces with Declan Kelly, founder of U.S.-based advisory firm Consello, and Lord Mervyn Davies, chairman of the Lawn Tennis Association. They will co-chair Salford’s board of directors.

League Two club Salford City was promoted four times in five years after Manchester United teammates from the Class of ’92 took it over in 2014.
