Pixar showed up to the Annecy International Animation Festival with the goods. The animation studio announced a new film slated for the summer of 2027, an original film called “Gatto” from “Luca” director Enrico Casarosa.

Pixar is venturing into the waters of Venice as it announces a new film titled Gatto. The announcement was made in a presentation at the Annecy International Film Festival. According to the official storyline released by Pixar,

The first section of the Pixar showcase was dedicated to footage and art from the studio’s next release, Elio, which lands in cinemas on June 20. Co-directors Domee Shi and Madeline Sharafian were joined by producer Mary Alice Drumm to present the footage.
