The Chicago Cubs and the entire baseball community suffered an incredible loss earlier this week when Hall of Famer Ryne Sandberg lost his battle with prostate

Inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2005, Sandberg spent 15 of his 16 seasons in his MLB career with the Cubs. He would go on to be an All-Star for 10 consecutive seasons (1984-93), a nine-time Gold Glove winner and a seven-time Silver Slugger.

The Chicago Cubs announced that they will be wearing No. 23 uniforms on Saturday against the Baltimore Orioles in honor of the late Ryne Sandberg, who died this week after being diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer.
