Winds over 85 mph have been reported with this storm farther west. A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Denton, Wise, Montague and Cooke counties until 10 p.m. Wind gusts up to 65 mph and quarter-size hail are possible.

On Sunday at 9:04 p.m. an updated severe thunderstorm warning was released by the NWS Fort Worth TX in effect until 10 p.m. The warning is for Denton, Wise, Cooke and Montague counties.

Significant” severe storms are expected to roll through much of North Texas — including Dallas-Fort Worth — late Sunday night, bringing with them the potential for large hail, damaging winds and spin-up tornadoes.
