U-Haul Holding Co. is planning to build a large self-storage facility in Phoenix with rentals and a store as part of its expansion efforts.

U-Haul has expanded its footprint, opening a 900-unit self storage facility in Apache Junction, Ariz., some 35 miles from downtown Phoenix.

The three new self-storage projects are expected to come online across the Phoenix metro in the next year.
