In Game 2 of the 2018 College World Series Finals against the Oregon State Beavers, three Arkansas fielders missed a routine pop-up, with the Razorbacks leading 3-2 with two outs in the top of the ninth inning. Arkansas lost the game 5-3 and would fall to the Beavers in Game 3.

That brought up LSU catch Luis Hernandez. He lined a 1-0 pitch to left field, well-hit but within Razorback Charles Davalan's range. But a misstep upped the degree of difficulty. By virtue of two misplaced inches of a glove, the game was tied.

Gage Wood's no-hitter set Arkansas up well for a run through the College World Series losers bracket, where it must win four games in four days.
