A key House committee is looking into the investigation of the late Jeffrey Epstein for sex trafficking crimes.

As chairman of the House Oversight Committee, Rep. James Comer (R-Kentucky) is obligated, under House rules, to issue the subpoena to the Justice Department. But he has not said when he will do so.

The public has been seeking answers about the Jeffrey Epstein case for years, especially now after the Wall Street Journal reported that the U.S. Justice Department told President Donald Trump in May that his name appears in the Epstein files.

His comments come after Trump's top envoy, Steve Witkoff, said yesterday that he was pulling the U.S. team of negotiators out of Doha, Qatar, after Hamas' latest response in the talks, saying it "clearly shows a lack of desire to reach a ceasefire in Gaza."

According to a report by The Wall Street Journal, a "birthday book" compiled for Jeffrey Epstein's 50th birthday in 2003 included a "bawdy" letter from President Trump.

Clinton's name has appeared several times in documents related to Epstein, who died six years ago while in prison, and those documents and related testimony have been publicly reported on.
