Maui Police Chief John Pelletier has been named in a lawsuit alleging his involvement in a 2018 cover-up related to a gang rape involving Sean "Diddy" Combs. Maui County Mayor Richard Bissen has requested that the Maui County Police Commission place Pelletier on administrative leave while an investigation is pursued.
