Patrick Mahomes is one of many former Texas high school football players who have turned into NFL superstars. The decorated Chiefs quarterback added another honor to his resume as he announced he had been inducted into the Texas High School Football Hall of Fame.

One of the most prolific receivers in NFL postseason history, Edelman will be inducted alongside former NFL head coach Bill Parcells, whose Hall of Fame career includes leading the Patriots to the franchise's second Super Bowl berth and the first one under current team owner Robert Kraft.

Patrick Mahomes still has plenty of NFL game days to suit up for before securing a spot in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. That voting process will come five years after his NFL career ends.
