Parent company Stellantis is only moving forward with a European launch, citing the 'dynamic environment' in the US. It doesn't use the word, but we all know what that means: tariffs.

According to a report from Motor1, a Stellantis representative told the outlet the automaker “continues to reassess its product strategy in North America,” and that as a result, “the company is temporarily pausing work on the next-generation Jeep Compass, including activities at the Brampton Assembly Plant.”

Stellantis will build the Compass in Europe for now, a new report says, but the US will still have two electric Jeeps by the end of the year.
