American Airlines Flight 5342 flew over southern Indiana and central Kentucky just before colliding with a helicopter in Washington D.C. LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The passenger aircraft that collided with a helicopter near Washington Wednesday night flew over the Louisville area just hours before it crashed into the Potomac River.

After nearly three months away from competition, Indiana women’s golf began its spring season Monday at Shadow Wood Country Club in Naples, Florida. The Hoosiers took first place with a score of 300 over the University of Louisville and the University of Kentucky in the one-day, 18-hole match.
