Earthquake, Los Angeles

California has been rocked by at least nine earthquakes since Thursday, raising fears that the "Big One" could be near.
At exactly 4:30:55 a.m. on Jan. 17, 1994, Los Angeles was rocked by a magnitude 6.7 earthquake that caused catastrophic damage, particularly near the epicenter in the San Fernando Valley.
The last “big one”-level moments in California’s recorded earthquake ... have struck since then — like the earthquakes in 1989 and 1994, hitting San Francisco and Northridge respectively.
