Despite oil prices, hovering in the mid-$60s a barrel, the cost of gasoline at the pump in Michigan edged up Sunday, July 27, 8 cents to $3.23 a gallon, from a week ago, according to AAA. And predictions whether they go up or down by Labor Day are mixed.

Gas prices in Michigan jumped 8 cents per gallon since last week, making the average $3.23 per regular unleaded gallon, AAA announced Monday.

While gas prices were up this price is still 7 cents less than this time last month and 56 cents less than this time last year.
