CD Projekt confirms its new Cyberpunk 2077 sequel has entered pre-production phases of development and has shed its internal Project Orion codename.

As a result, Cyberpunk 2 – previously known under the codename Project Orion – has progressed to preproduction. CD Projekt RED originally announced Project Orion all the way back in October 2022.
