Megaproducer Ryan Murphy, who made the Netflix series on Milwaukee serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, has a new series on Wisconsin murderer Ed Gein.

Ed Gein was born on August 27, 1906, in La Crosse, Wisconsin, to George and Augusta Gein. His upbringing was defined by isolation, violence, and a strict religious environment.

Ed Gein's latest close-up is getting closer. "Monsters: The Original Monster," TV megaproducer Ryan Murphy's series about the Wisconsin serial killer, will debut on Netflix in October.

Ed Gein wasn’t actually a serial killer —he only admitted to killing two women. Rather, he was a body snatcher who had an obsession with his deceased mother, Augusta.

ED GEIN: THE REAL PSYCHO is produced by Workaholic Productions for discovery+. For Workaholic, the executive producers are Luke Ellis, Kurt Knutzen and Katie Barrie.

So far, Murphy hasn't detailed the plot for the Ed Gein series. But, in his interview with Newsom, Murphy suggested that "The Original Monster" would focus on how Ed Gein became Ed Gein.
