John Cena has turned WWE villain. If that wasn't scary enough, the WWE legend turned movie star had a "sobering" real-life scare when the 17-time world champion was diagnosed with skin cancer. Yes, skin cancer is generally something most men never worry about, but if it is ignored, it can turn deadly.

John Cena has been promising to ruin pro wrestling now that he’s WWE champion, and the latest chapter of that involved headlining tonight’s (Sat., May 10, 2025) Backlash premium live event at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri, in a title match against hometown boy Randy Orton. They promoted it as the last time ever.

As Cena was in the ring ordering announcer Mark Nash to properly introduce him to the crowd, a bottle was thrown that bounced on the canvas and hit the undisputed WWE champion on his kneepad.
