LARIMER COUNTY, Colo. — Mandatory evacuations are ordered for a new wildfire Thursday afternoon in Larimer County. The evacuation area is near Deadman Road, including County Road 86. This is west of Red Feather Lakes and north of the communities of Spencer Heights and Kinikinik.
Officials are urging visitors to begin evacuating at 10 a.m. Monday from Hurricane Evacuation Zone A, which includes the unincorporated villages of Rodanthe, Waves, Salvo, Avon, Buxton, Frisco and Hatteras. Residents are to begin evacuating at 8 a.m. Tuesday.
