The first half of the 2025 NFL season hasn't gone as anticipated for the Dallas Cowboys. In their first season under head coach Brian Schottenheimer, the Cowboys enter their Week 10 bye with a record of 3-5-1.

The Dallas Cowboys acquired a pair of first-round picks from the Green Bay Packers in the stunning Micah Parsons trade before the season. Now, they are sending a first-rounder back out the door.

The Arizona Cardinals have beaten the Dallas Cowboys 27-17 at AT&T Stadium on “Monday Night Football,” ending their five-game losing streak. Jacoby Brissett, filling in for the injured Kyler Murray, threw for 261 yards and two touchdowns. Marvin Harrison Jr. had a career-high seven receptions for 96 yards and a TD.

They held the Cowboys, who had scored at least 40 points in all three of their previous home games, to 17 points, and they looked good offensively.

The Dallas Cowboys made a blockbuster trade acquisition on Tuesday. According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Cowboys acquired star defensive tackle Quinnen Williams from the New York Jets in exchange for one future first-round pick, one second-round selection and defensive lineman Mazi Smith.

With their obvious future need at edge rusher, the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles have been predicted to pursue the same star edge rusher in free agency next offseason.
