The first set of 49 White South African "Afrikaners" granted refugee status by President Donald Trump will arrive Monday to the United States.

The first set of 49 white South Africans to be granted refugee status by President Donald Trump's administration are on their way to the US. On Sunday they boarded a flight from Johannesburg which is due to land in Washington DC later on Monday.

The Episcopal Church’s migration service is refusing a directive from the U.S. federal government to help resettle white South Africans granted refugee status, citing the church’s longstanding commitment to racial justice and reconciliation.
