President Donald Trump has been sending letters to countries outlining higher tariffs they’ll face if they don’t make trade deals with the U.S. by Aug. 1.

Instead on Wednesday, Trump continued to threaten countries with higher tariffs in the near future by publishing open letters to the Philippines, Brunei, Moldova, Algeria, Iraq, Libya and Sri Lanka that set new tariff rates ranging from 20% to 30% that he said he would impose on Aug. 1.

President Trump has told roughly two dozen countries that they will face tariffs of at least 20 percent on Aug. 1 if they don’t reach agreements by then.
