The Buffalo Bills have re-signed safety Damar Hamlin during the NFL's 2025 free agency period. Hamlin, 26, was a sixth-round selection by the team at the 2021 NFL draft. Hamlin's rookie contract had expired and he will now return to Buffalo via a one-year deal:

Having addressed two key areas by agreeing to terms with edge rusher Joey Bosa and wide receiver Josh Palmer, the Buffalo Bills have rung the bell on yet another spot that needed help: Defensive tackle.

Defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi is expected to sign a one-year deal with the team. According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the contract is worth $8.3 million with nearly all of that guaranteed ($8M) and the deal can move up to $10M with incentives:

Still, it was believed that the Bills were going to move on from Hamlin because while his story is certainly inspiring, he has really been nothing more than an average player. Bishop is expected to become the starter in 2025, so Hamlin would battle for a backup job.
