The UConn women’s basketball team will retire Sue Bird’s jersey, and several former players will join the Huskies of Honor this season.
The program will retire Bird's No. 10 jersey when the Huskies face Big East rival DePaul on Dec. 7. No current Huskies wear the No. 10 - Qadance Samuels was the most recent player to wear the number before transferring to NC State this offseason - as Bird's digits will join Rebecca Lobo's No. 50 and Swin Cash's No. 32 in the rafters.
