Anwar Ibrahim has hailed the 13th Malaysia Plan — a five-year blueprint that charts the country's priorities — as a beacon of transformation. This, as the nation tackles increasing complex challenges.

Malaysia is set to announce a trade deal Thursday with the US after President Donald Trump and his Malaysian counterpart Anwar Ibrahim spoke by telephone, people familiar with the plan said.

Anwar, who is also Finance Minister, announced that it was decided via a phone conversation with Trump at 6.50am.
