In a social media post, Governor of the Samara Oblast region, Vyacheslav Fedorishchev, confirmed the drone strike on Novokuibyshevsk, writing "Enemy UAVs attacked one of the industrial facilities in Novokuibyshevsk this morning.

​​Ukrainian drone attacks overnight into Saturday killed three people, Russian officials said Saturday. Russia’s Defense Ministry said air defenses intercepted or destroyed 112 drones across eight Russian regions and the Russian-occupied Crimean Peninsula.

In the early hours of August 2, Russia launched over 50 drones at Ukraine from various directions, including from occupied Crimea, according to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Russia carried out another attack on Ukrainian territory.
