"Full House" icon John Stamos is to replace Josh Gad, who has COVID, in this weekend's production of the musical "Jesus Christ Superstar" at the Hollywood Bowl.

John Stamos is slipping into the golden slippers of King Herod just hours before the curtain comes up on Jesus Christ Superstar at the Hollywood Bowl. Stamos’s last minute casting comes after Josh Gad announced yesterday that he would no longer occupy the throne on opening night.

Spaceballs 2 will be directed by Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar filmmaker Josh Greenbaum. Keke Palmer and Lewis Pullman are also set to star, alongside returning actors including Rick Moranis, who is expected to come out of retirement to reprise his role as the villainous Dark Helmet.
