The Baseball Writers’ Association of America revealed the finalists for Major League Baseball’s four major end-of-season awards on Monday, setting the stage for a celebration of 2025’s most outstanding performers.
After members of the Baseball Writers’ Association of America (BBWAA) submitted their ballots last month, individual hardware is about to be handed out for the National and American Leagues in recognition of accomplishments during the 2025 MLB regular season.
Caleb Durbin, Brewers: Coming over in the trade that sent Devin Williams to the Yankees, Durbin hit .256/.334/.387 (101 OPS+) with 25 doubles, 11 homers, 53 RBI, 60 runs, 18 steals and 2.9 WAR. Only three Brewers have ever won this award, most recently Williams in 2020.
The Milwaukee Brewers have announced their 2025 award winners, selected by the Milwaukee Chapter of the Baseball Writers Association of America.
For each of the awards voted on by the BBWAA, there is weighted point system that determines the winner. For MVP, there are 10 spots on each ballot. First-place votes are worth 14 points while second to 10th-place votes are worth 9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 points in descending order.
