A deflected goal gave the NHL’s highest-scoring team in the regular season its first goal in nearly five periods, and Tampa Bay built on it to get back in their Florida series.

Sergei Bobrovsky stopped all 19 shots he faced to lead the Florida Panthers to a 2-0 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday in Game 2 of their first-round Stanley Cup playoffs series at Amalie Arena.

Any time Tampa came in with a quick rush or slick play near the net, Bobrovsky stood tall, plugging all holes and making sure nothing cheap would get by. The few times Florida allowed Tampa a grade-A chance, Bobrovsky didn’t flinch, no matter how big of a moment it was.
