His primary competition will be UFL standout Harrison Mevis after the team waived Caden Davis on Tuesday.

The Jets began training camp with two inexperienced kickers, rookie Caden Davis and former UFL standout Harrison Mevis. Both struggled on the first day, but Glenn claimed it was too early to panic.

At placekicker, the Jets brought in Harrison Mevis and undrafted free agent rookie Caden Davis. The commonality between them is that neither had kicked in an NFL game before.

Mevis is a kicker from the University of Missouri, who also has competed in the UFL. In his most recent times playing, for the Birmingham Stallions, he made 20 of 21 of his field goals.
