Colt 45 is meant to be something that you choke down in a park at 10:30 at night when you’re 17 and you and your buddies are just looking to get wasted. It is what it is. A vehicle for getting you from sober to drunk.

So you are drinking 3.33 beers, adjusting for the 12% more alcohol you get 3.333 x 1.12 is 3.73. So “best” case by drinking 40oz of Colt, you are drinking the equivalent of about 45 oz or 3.7 “normal” beers.

The 45 will nudge things out of the way with a vengeance and the 44mag will pulverize things. That is until you bring the 45 colt up to 44mag power levels.
