Check out this cool phenomenon in Yukon. It's a snow devil and to see one is quite rare. According to Geography Realm, "snow devils form when dry snow is picked up by gusts of winds, creating a vortex." They are also known as "snownadoes." This one was found spinning near Beaver Creek, Yukon. "My wife was driving and caught it on camera," said Justin North. Super cool! | CBC North

SNOWNADO! Captured this “tornado” of snow over Lake Ontario this afternoon. What is that? This is a snow devil, formed when the convergence of surface winds kicks up a small-scale circulation.
